CHAPTER 44 – HAVE A TASTE OF ARTHUR’S DAY!
Sep 29th
This year, Arthur’s Day 2010 was celebrated in a BIG way, electrifying ALL senses not only through music, but as well as FOOD!
In anticipation of the big day, Shantee and I were invited to sample delectable Guinness infused dishes at the remarkable SOULed Out restaurant located in Desa Sri Hartamas.
Just arrived
My table settings along with Fanny’s business card right next to the spoon.
Refreshing orange and watermelon juices for Shantee and I upon arrival.
The THREE specially prepared dishes for us to sample! These delights offered at SOULed out are hearty Irish, fusion and meaty dishes.
Guinness Battered Fish and Chips : Snapper fillet coated with Guinness batter, deep fried till it’s golden brown and crisp, served with mixed salad and chips.
Guinness Chicken Yakitori : A generous serving of Japanese marinated chicken skewered with sprint onion and grilled to perfection, topped with Guinness teriyaki sauce.
Meatballs in Guinness Sauce : Seasoned meatballs which are grilled till golden brown, cooked over Guinness infused beef stock and served with crusty Guinness bread.
I personally love the Guinness Chicken Teriyaki.
And what’s having a taste of Arthur’s Day without a perfect pint of Guinness that goes well with the delectable Guinness infused dishes above?
Aside from the Guinness infused dishes, we were also served with more scrumptious food specially prepared by SOULed Out itself.
Smoked Salmon Thin Crust Pizza
Goodie Bags for the guests!
Shantee and I, pampered with Guinness.
In addition, the recently launched Arthur’s Day Bus was also featured at SOULed Out where we were lucky to have an ultimate Arthur’s Day VIP experience in the giant vehicle itself that took us by surprise the moment we stepped in it!
Bottles of Guinness nicely aligned on the shelf
Perhaps a pint of Guinness while chilling on the bus?
The LCD screen that featured Arthur’s Day commercials.
Adorable Guinness pillows!
Very cushy indeed!
The girls and I on the bus
Love the customade Guinness lamp
After a tour on the bus, we headed back to experience on how to pull a perfect pint of Guinness!
He is ready to teach! And Shantee was the one to try.
There! My glass of Guinness by Shantee.
A perfect pint with creamy head that lasts the whole way to the bottom!
Shantee and her refreshing Mojito.
Davidoff was there to promote their new Champion fragrance. Definitely adore the shape of the perfume bottle.
Thanks to Guinness, we undeniably had a great night pre-celebrating Arthur’s Day 2010!
However, it was not over yet until the BIG celebration with the international stars Flo Rida, Colby O’Donis, Sean Kingston etc. at Sunway Lagoon on 24th of September, Arthur’s Day!
So stay tuned! 🙂
Always yours truly, Esty.
